Audio-Visual Preservation Trust of Canada fades to black, advocacy continues through Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television

Another casualty of the federal Conservative government's culture wars, the Audio-Visual Preservation Trust of Canada has dissolved effective March 31, 02010. Its important advocacy work for the preservation of Canada's audio-visual recorded heritage is being carried on through an agreement with the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television to whom it transferred its charter on November 30, 02009.
